Workplace CALM Overview
Workplace Conflict and Liability Management (CALM) is designed to help leaders, professionals, and teams recognize and address challenges that can undermine workplace culture, relationships, performance, and organizational well-being. The course explores workplace bullying, incivility, interpersonal conflict, and other disruptive behaviors while emphasizing professional, respectful, and appropriate responses.
CALM equips participants with strategies to identify concerns early, respond effectively, and help prevent issues from escalating. Participants examine the role of leadership in establishing healthy workplace expectations, addressing problematic behaviors, supporting respectful communication, and fostering a culture of accountability.
The course also introduces the relationship between workplace behavior, organizational processes, and legal and liability considerations. Participants learn the importance of consistent policies, appropriate documentation, communication, reporting, response, and escalation processes that address concerns responsibly and minimize avoidable legal and organizational risk.
Rather than simply reacting to conflict after it becomes a serious problem, CALM promotes a proactive approach to workplace culture and conflict management, helping organizations create environments where concerns can be identified, addressed, and resolved with professionalism, fairness, accountability, and respect.
