OWL Navigators™ is the middle school learning stage of the Operation Wellness Literacy (OWL™) Academy, designed for students in grades 6–8. As students experience greater independence and begin making more decisions about their health and well-being, Navigators builds the skills they need to understand health information and make informed choices.
Through engaging, age-appropriate learning, students explore practical health literacy skills, healthy habits, decision-making, communication, and how to identify and use reliable health resources. The program encourages students to take increasing ownership of their health while developing the confidence to ask questions, seek appropriate information, and make choices that support their well-being.
OWL Navigators™ serves as an important step in the OWL all-ages learning journey, helping students move from foundational health knowledge toward greater independence and leadership as they progress to the Ambassador stage. The program blends foundational health literacy with practical life skills, preparing students for the increased independence and social complexity of high school. Schools receive structured lessons, activities, and implementation guidance that align with NHES and integrate seamlessly into wellness education efforts. The base level includes access to the program for up to four (4) designated enrollees from your organization.
